Sport!Turystyka!Polska!Foundation & Valley of the Sun

19.10.2016 saw the Sport!Tourism!Polska! foundation visit Niepolomice along with proteges from the Valley of the Sun, which is a therapeutic and rehabilitation centre for people with learning disabilities.
It was an extremely eventful day for the proteges which began in the morning when they were introduced to their experienced tour guide, Mr. Grzegorz Pieczara who was to accompany the group for the day. The sightseeing then began with a tour of Krakow’s old town where they were able to see and hear about the market square, cloth hall, St. Mary’s Church, Collegium Maius, amongst other things. They were also told about a number of legends and stories surrounding the Krakow Old Town.
After their tour of the Old Town the group took a trip to the nearby town of Niepolomice where they enjoyed a meal, before going on a tour of the famous Niepolomice castle.

And if the group were tired by this point they certainly didn’t show it, as they then enjoyed a tennis lesson in the sports hall in Niepolomice to round the day off nicely.
The day turned out to be a great adventure for all involved, as the proteges from the foundation were able to enjoy the attractions of both Krakow and Niepolomice, as well as enjoy a tennis lesson, which for some was the first time they had had the opportunity to play this sport.
