Poland is one of our newer rugby destinations, with fixture possibilities in Krakow and the surrounding region, and an excellent training camp venue in the Tatra Mountains. Rugby is a minority sport in Poland, but we have links with several of the local rugby clubs who are always keen to host touring rugby teams, and will offer a good welcome and competitive fixture.  Krakow itself is a beautiful city, and the culture and the history of the surroundings is prominent, so for school trips this is a real draw. The city is focused around the huge Old Town square, the castle and the river, and everything is within alking distance of our accommodation. Beyond the city, we can arrange visits to the infamous concentration camp at Auschwitz, just an hour outside Krakow, and the famours Salt Mines at Wieliczka.  For training camps, we base our groups in Zakopane, a scenic mountain resort located in southern Poland only around 100 km from Krakow, at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. Tourists are drawn to Zakopane for its excellent conditions for winter sports, but in the summer, tourists also come to enjoy hiking, climbing, white water rafting and to exerience the Tatrzanski National Park. The facilities at the hotel we use are popular with elite athletes and the location in the mountains provides an ideal setting for endurance and high altitude training. It is well set up for pre season rugby training. Outside of the sport, there are plenty of activities to do including white water rafting, cable car to Mount Gubalowka, and thermal pools. With two airports – Krakow and Katowice – served by many budget airlines from the UK, tours and training camps here are accessible.
